What. Is. Love.

How do you know that the feeling you're getting is love instead of admiration, an attraction, or an infatuation?

I have been pondering about this question for quite some time now, ever since my first so-called 'love' experience. Within four years, I think that I have some better understanding on the question of "what is love". The questions I ask myself can be divided into the categories listed above: 

admiration, attraction, infatuation, or love.

admiration: respect and warm approval

~ Everything they do, you want to be exactly like them. Everything they do, you think of as great. There is no jealousy going on in your head. They are not constantly on your mind. There is no romantic connection.

attraction: the action or power of evoking interest, pleasure, or liking for someone or something

~ The very first thing you notice about them is their looks. You want to be good friends with them because you want the whole world to know you guys are close. You try to talk to them everyday. You don't know them inside and out.
infatuation: an intense but short-lived passion or admiration for someone or something~ Similar to attraction, but on a more extreme level where you're obsessed with them. You think they are great, but something happens so you see their flaws. It is relatively easy for you to let go.

Now, about love. 
Love is when their happiness means more to you than your own.Love is when their life becomes yours.Love is when their sadness becomes your pain.Love is when you would risk your life for them.Love is knowing everything about them but still wanting them in your life.Love is unexpected.Love... is a tough thing to understand. But with time, you will understand.
