The reason?
I need help.
And sometimes, the best help you can give yourself is to write to someone who is in a similar situation as yourself, helping yourself at the same time.
As much as people may want to be perfect, the truth is that nobody is perfect.
Humans were created with flaws, or else we'd have motivation and nothing to strive for if everything came to us perfectly.
I am a perfectionist.
And it's getting to the point where this characteristic of mine is becoming really unhealthy for my life.

- It makes people unhappy, since it's impossible to achieve perfection or to be perfect.
- It causes procrastination, because striving for the unattainable makes it hard to get started.
- It creates self criticism and low self esteem because perfectionists are never happy with that they've done.

- Give yourself credit for your accomplishments
- Accept that mistakes are part of the journey
- If stuck, seek help
- Focus on the present - leave the past behind
To you fellow perfectionists out there, hopefully this will help you out a bit.
I know for me personally, conquering this flaw will be very difficult.
But then I was thinking...wouldn't it be ironic of me to say that I want to perfect this flaw?
Maybe I don't need to change, because being a perfectionist is my flaw, and everybody has flaws.
Nobody's perfect.
**But it does feel great to know that some people see beyond my imperfections and so kindly tell me that I'm already beyond perfect in their hearts :)
