So why am I talking about Providence?
First things first (this may be one of the most personal things will I blog about).
The first time I actually learned about the word was through my teacher.
My best friend and I had written a song for our retreat.
We had one problem: we did not have a song name, and we were to perform it in a couple of minutes.
Our teacher just happened to mention the word Providence, all in coincidental terms.
One look and we knew that Providence would be the title of our song.
Since then, I have basically related everything back to Providence. It is kind of my ground, if you know what I mean.
Now, let's get back on track.
Last weekend, I went on that same yearly retreat.
My best friend and I met back in eighth grade, but we didn't really know each other until the retreat that year, as he was my only "friend" there. At the retreat, we hung out and got to know each other better.
During my second year of the retreat, we performed Providence - an event that will stick with me for life.
And then two weekends ago, the third year.
We had decided to catch up on our lives during the retreat, as we have no classes together and barely see each other during school or after-school hours.
Let's just say that circumstances at the retreat did not allow for us to talk much.
But when we did...it was the closest we have ever felt with each other (teddy bear~)
The retreat holds some sentimental value to me.
I don't know if he thinks of it the same way as I do, but I whole-heartedly feel that...I can feel God's presence there and through my friend. I am a strong believer in Providence because my life, my relationship and friendship with him, it is living proof of God's Providence and how He has paved my path for me according to what will help me grow stronger.
I'll let you in on a small secret: I've actually been working on this post for over a week now, not really knowing how to communicate all of this. But I figured if I leave it any longer, it may have lost its recentness effect.
And thus, I shall leave it at this.
XOXO,
Minti.
